The Mariposa Spanish School aims to create a learning environment where visitors, Nicaraguans and ex-pats come together to learn more about the world around us as well as study the Spanish language.
We offer our students the opportunity to learn Spanish through day-long immersion, doing grammar and conversations one-on-one or in small groups, in a fun, relaxing environment.
We also offer a range of activities designed to help students learn about all aspects of life in Nicaragua, including history, politics, and culture, as well as visiting the country’s beautiful landscapes.
With our Eco-Hotel, we try to incorporate both local and modern features, such as latrines and solar panels, to try and minimise our impact on the planet.
Mariposa is well-integrated with the local community, where — with the income we receive from you — we do whatever we can to directly support the local economy and community. Apart from our employment project, we support a number of community projects. All projects are run by Nicaraguans who understand what resources are most needed. We maintain a supportive role, providing funding, materials, expertise, and other resources.
